Red Ribbon Week and Halloween all wrapped up into one fun week at Golden Spike Elementary
Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide campaign dedicated to promoting healthy, safe, and drug-free lifestyles among students. During this week, Golden Spike Elementary encourages students to make positive choices, build strong character, and take pride in living drug-free. We want to work together as a community—students, families, and staff—to support healthy habits and a bright future for every child. Here are the themes for each day.

Did you know? Missing just 2 days a month can add up to 18+ days in a year, that's nearly a whole month of lost learning! Even early on, frequent absences can make it harder for children to keep up and stay confident in class.

To make attendance extra fun, we’re kicking off our attendance initiative with dress-up days this week! Let’s keep our students excited to come to school, learn, and show their school spirit!

Welcome to Kindergarten!

This week is "Start With Hello" Week! Each day, students will be invited to take part in fun daily challenges designed to promote kindness, connection, and a welcoming atmosphere here at Golden Spike. Our school counselors will also be visiting classrooms to teach this important lesson and help foster a sense of belonging for everyone!

We sure are excited to start school tomorrow! Doors open at 8:40 and students are dismissed at 1:20 all week!
